Substance Abuse & Addiction

Outpatient Substance Abuse Services

Substance Abuse and Addictions

Our outpatient substance abuse services provide comprehensive, affordable, and accessible treatment services to the residents of Northeast Nebraska.

Treatment strategies employed are tailored to the individual needs of the person(s) presenting for service. Services include:

  • Substance Abuse Evaluations

  • Pre-Admission Screenings

  • Consultation and Education Services

  • Individual/Family/Group Therapy

  • Aftercare

  • Referral Services

Outpatient substance abuse services allow individuals to begin lifestyle changes in their home community with minimal disruption to their usual school or working hours.

Alcohol and Drug Evaluations

Alcohol and Drug Evaluations are a specialized service and are administered by our highly skilled Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (LADC) or other licensed/qualified clinical staff. Our counselors are trained in the ASI and CASI assessment tools and are also approved Criminal Justice Providers.

Whenever feasible, the individual seeking an Alcohol and Drug Evaluation will be asked to bring a collateral contact. A collateral may be a spouse or significant other, parent, adult child, adult sibling, friend or co-worker. In cases involving litigation or court involvement, Alcohol and Drug Evaluation charges are paid prior to the service being delivered. All Alcohol and Drug Evaluations must be paid in full prior to being released.

Aftercare Services

Aftercare services provide a supportive therapeutic setting for individuals and their families who have completed an inpatient or intensive outpatient alcohol/drug treatment or co-dependency program.

Goals of aftercare include:

  • Strengthening gains and insights made in treatment

  • Diminishing feelings of isolation, guilt, and depression

  • Providing motivation for continued growth

  • Promoting healthy lifestyles free of alcohol and other drug usage.

Aftercare groups are offered weekly. Call our main office to check group times and availability.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) - TEAM Program

Our IOP dual disorders program, called “TEAM”, focuses on aiding individuals in making lifestyle changes in order to maintain a life free from substance abuse and addiction. The TEAM program serves adults (age 19 & above) and involves a minimum of 10 hours of service each week with lengths of stay that range from six to eleven weeks or more, dependent on the needs and presenting issues of the individual served. Parent/family participation is a strong component of care.

Treatment approaches with participants include cognitive-behavioral retraining, rational emotive therapy, strategic family therapy approaches, psychodrama, Gestalt therapy, and the traditional 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.

The mission of the TEAM program is to provide cost-effective treatment alternatives to chemically dependent individuals and their families that allow all affected family members access to ongoing care.
