Alumni
Recovery does not end the day that an individual graduates from treatment. In fact, the ongoing aftercare and maintaining involvement in the Recovery community is often just as important to the prevention of relapse as the initial program.
We want you to stay on the right path. One of the best ways to stay connected to both Behavioral Health Specialists and your peers in Sobriety is to join our Alumni Association.
Behavioral Health Specialists Alumni Association is a fellowship of graduates who want to share their experience, strength and hope with one another.
Our primary purpose is to help others maintain sobriety, interact in sober activities and stay connected. We understand the struggles each of us face once you get out of treatment and want to support all of our alumni in any way we can.
By joining the Alumni program, you will have access to support through events and meetings. For example, events may include:
-
Bowling
-
Cookouts/Tailgate parties
-
Alumni Speakers
-
Host Group Events
-
Bonfire Meetings
-
Volleyball/Basketball
You will have the opportunity to be an Alumni Speaker after one year of discharge from treatment and sobriety. You will work with current individuals involved in Behavioral Health Specialists programs to help them in their recovery. This gives client’s perspective from someone who has walked in his or her steps before.
Alumni Guidelines:
This program is voluntary and free of charge. The only criteria to qualify for Alumni is:
