TEAM Program (IOP)Intensive outpatient (IOP) substance abuse treatment is available for individuals age 19 and older with a substance dependency disorder. It is also available to youth ages 13 to 18 with a substance abuse or dependence disorder. This program occurs each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and participants enroll for eight to eleven weeks. Family involvement is strongly encouraged. This program focuses on aiding individuals to develop knowledge and skills for making lifestyle changes necessary to maintain a life free from substance abuse. The mission of the TEAM program is to provide cost-effective treatment alternatives to chemically abusing youth or chemically dependent individuals and their families that allow all affected family members access to ongoing care. Chemical dependency is viewed as a multi-faceted and multi-determined dysfunction, which tragically destroys individuals, relationships, and families. The TEAM program is eclectically oriented, employing a variety of treatment strategies to emphasize abstinence and development of appropriate coping strategies as primary treatment goals. Treatment approaches with participants include cognitive-behavioral retraining, rational emotive therapy, strategic family therapy approaches, psychodrama, Gestalt therapy, and the traditional 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. The TEAM Program allows individuals and families to continue usual school or working hours which permits beginning lifestyle changes in the home community while receiving intensive alcohol/drug abuse or dependency treatment.
