Outpatient Therapist
BHS is currently seeking a full-time Outpatient Therapist. The
qualified candidate must hold a PLMHP/LMHP and PLADC/LADC or be eligible to obtain
these credentials. Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work or related
fields required.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Emergency Coverage:
- Responds to the emergency needs of their clients.
- May be required to provide emergency coverage for new clients
during office hours and any existing client after office hours, as
assigned by the supervisor.
- Responsible for finding coverage during assigned times if they
will not be in the office due to vacation, continuing education,
etc.
Professional Identity:
- Attends seminars and workshops to enhance skills and
knowledge.
- Provides consultation, education and prevention services to
other agencies and individuals as assigned by the supervisor.
- Participates in networking with other agencies and attends
community meetings as deemed appropriate for the position.
- Promotes the establishment of adequate community resources and
services for clients in the community.
Documentation:
- Completes necessary clinical documents and evaluations in a
timely manner.
- Forwards all requested documents to referents.
- Develops treatment plans in conjunction with clients.
- Communicates with managed care companies as needed for authorization

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of human development, family dynamics, substance
abuse and appropriate therapeutic interventions.

- Must be a Nebraska licensed driver with a good

Applied Practice Registered Nurse-Nurse
Practitioner (APRN-NP)
BHS is currently seeking a full-time APRN in our Outpatient Mental
Health program. The qualified candidate must be licensed as an
APRN-NP with a behavioral health endorsement. An APRN-NP is a
registered nurse who has obtained additional education and licensure to
manage common health problems and chronic conditions including
prescribing treatments and medications. Nurses educated as either a
nurse practitioner or a clinical nurse specialist may qualify for
licensure as an APRN-NP if they meet all of the licensure requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide professional psychiatric services to patients of the
agency.
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing
psychiatric care for clients as they present to the agency
- Provide emergency assessments as warranted
- Order any ancillary medical care as needed
- Prescribe controlled substance Schedules II through V. APRN-NPs
may receive samples.
- Practice in collaboration and consultation with physicians and
other health care practitioners.
- Supervise clinical work of Licensed Practical Nurse or
Registered Nurse at BHS, Inc.
- Provide supervision to other therapists as assigned.
- Provide consultation and supervision/direction to other clinical
staff members as needed
- Assist with on-call supervisory needs as indicated by the
Director of Outpatient Clinical Services
- Attend seminars and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly

Human Service Tech
BHS is currently seeking a full-time Human Service Tech. The qualified candidate must be over the age of 21 and
would need to have a Bachelor's degree in the Human Services field from
a four-year college or university; or one to two years' related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able
to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
- Assist residents in learning and practicing new behaviors,
including responsibility with assignment and chores.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
- Monitor vital signs and mental status functioning of
individuals.
- Observe and record resident self-administration of medication.
- Provide therapeutic interventions for inappropriate/unacceptable
behaviors by helping residents identify what s/he needs and new ways
of handling the situation.
- Identify and document changes in behaviors, and notify other
staff as needed.
- Possess good oral/written communication skills.
- Willingness to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- If recovering, a minimum of two years continuous sobriety is
required.
- Possess a Nebraska license with a good driving/safety record.
- Other job-related requirements.
